The process
From sign-up to dispensary, step by step
No clinics, no waiting rooms, no paper forms. Here's exactly what happens.
- 1
Tell us about yourself
Answer a few questions about your health and goals. It takes about two minutes and costs nothing.
- 2
Meet your doctor online
Connect with a licensed physician by video from your phone or computer. Appointments are private, judgment-free, and usually under 15 minutes.
- 3
Get certified & register
If approved, you receive your certification and step-by-step help registering with your state program so you can shop at licensed dispensaries.

Good to know
Before your appointment
Bring your ID and proof of residency
A driver's license usually covers both. Some states accept utility bills or leases for residency.
Medical records help, but aren't always required
Prior diagnoses, prescriptions, or imaging strengthen your evaluation. No records? The doctor can still evaluate you in most states.
The fee is $199 — and refunded if you're not approved
State registry fees are separate and go directly to your state.
Your employer is not notified
Patient registries are confidential. Note that employers may still drug-test under their own policies — cardholder protections vary by state.
FAQ
Process questions
What should I prepare for the appointment?
A government ID, proof of state residency (ID or a utility bill), and any medical records related to your condition. Records help but are not strictly required in most states — the physician can evaluate you directly.
What happens during the video visit?
The doctor reviews your health history, asks about symptoms and prior treatments, answers your questions, and decides whether medical cannabis is clinically appropriate. Visits are conversational and typically take 10–15 minutes.
What does state registration involve?
After certification, most states require you to create an account in the state patient registry, upload your certification and ID, and pay the state's fee (ranging from $0 to $200 depending on the state). We send you exact instructions for your state.
When can I visit a dispensary?
As soon as your state issues your card or registry approval — instant in some states, a few days to weeks in others. Your state page has the specifics.
